I used one drill bit and drilled 50 to 75 holes in a piece of 1/2" white oak and red oak, and then I drilled a series of holes in a 1/32" piece of steel and then, because I wanted to know if the steel dulled the bit, I drilled another series of holes in a piece of 1/2" white oak again, without any problem, and that is the drill bit that I am still using now.
